WELL-KEPT JOSEPH

1 bottle suggested, start slow and low. Add another bottle can be used based on heat tolerance & desired THC mg intake

Beard and Blaze can help you transform a Sloppy Joe into a refined and sophisticated party passer, or a last-minute dinner saver. Try a fresh take on an old-school classic.

INGREDIENTS FOR 2-4 PEOPLE:

  • Beard & Blaze Hot Sauce – 1 bottle suggested, start slow and low. Add another bottle can be used based on heat tolerance & desired THC mg intake
  • Ground Beef – 1 lb
  • Manwich® Original Sloppy Joe Sauce – 1 can
  • Cheddar Curds or Cubed Cheddar Cheese – 6 oz
  • Focaccia Bread – 12 oz loaf
  • Olive Oil – 3 tbs
  • Horse Radish – 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon or Pickle Juice – 1/3 cup
  • Sprouts or Micro Greens – 3 oz
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

STEPS:

  1. Combine olive oil, horse radish, lemon/pickle juice in small bowl; whisk until well mixed and set aside
  2. Preheat oven to 400˚F
  3. Cook beef in large skillet over medium-high heat for 7 minutes or until crumbled and no longer pink, stirring occasionally; drain
  4. Stir in Sloppy Joe sauce; heat through
  5. Once cooked and still in the pan, add cheese and 1 bottle of Beard & Blaze (2 bottles if you’re feeling bold and really want the burn)
  6. Mix until cheese is melted and well combined; cover and set to simmer
  7. Brush focaccia with olive oil or butter; toast in oven until warm
  8. Cut toasted focaccia into 1-2 inch squares
  9. Top each square with 1-2 tbs of Well-Kept mix
  10. Quickly toss sprouts or micros in horseradish dressing for a light coating on the micros/sprouts (they shouldn’t be heavy or oily).
  11. Place a pretty little pile of sprouts/micros on each Joseph.
  12. Step back, admire your work, send pics to your friends and tell them all to call you “Chef” from now on. Then post your pics and tag @beardandblazehotsauce.
